Location and contact info:
I have been a professional musician since the mid-1980’s and have always had a fascination with stringed instruments. After relocating to Chicago I began developing my skills in repair and restoration working in some of the Chicago area’s most well respected violin shops. This invaluable experience allowed me not only to see many interesting instruments, but also to learn a great deal about modern construction, repair and restoration philosophy and techniques. Through these experiences, I learned about the traditional methods and materials used in luthiery, which are at the foundation of my work. By having my shop centrally located in Chicago, I am able to serve not only the Chicago metro area, but also the greater Midwest and beyond.
Although my primary concern is the set-up, repair and restoration of instruments and bows, I also offer a limited number of instruments, bows and accessories for sale. These are items that I feel are excellent quality combined with value, many of which I personally use. If you are not able to find what you are looking for, please let me know.
