Finale Recital
The finale recital is a short concert played by all the faculty of the Bassfest. We combine in all sorts of fun groupings–solos, duets, trios, quartets, and quintets–to bring the Bassfest to a close.
Parents
All parents are welcome to stay for the whole day and sit in on any classes they like (no charge–just sit in and watch, or feel free to ask all the questions you like).
Q&A Sessions
On the schedule you will notice several Q&A sessions scattered throughout the day. These sessions are a chance for students and parents to ask Bassfest faculty any sort of music-related questions they want. Music school, purchasing a bass, bow, music, or amp, finding a teacher, playing on a stool, rosin, strings, and the like are always popular topics. This will give you a chance to learn more about the world of music from the professional musicians working at the Bassfest.
Master Classes
A Master Class is a one-on-one lesson taught in front of an audience. Bring any music you are working on and sign up for these sessions! You don’t have to be an advanced player to do these sessions–you can even play a scale or some open strings for us!
