Suggest a story for the Bass Blog

I am always on the lookout for new bass blog stories and greatly appreciate any ideas, photos, MP3s, reflections, recollections, or gig tales from readers. Just drop me an e-mail (jsh177@yahoo.com) or leave a comment on this or any post on the blog. I’ll incorporate your story and give you credit.

  1. I stumbled onto a handful of short videos of Paul Ellison talking about carrier possibilities in music. Very thoughtful and open minded about the possibilities for students. Give them a look, you may want to post a link.

  2. Thanks, Jon! I just checked this Ellison material out, and it is really interesting and useful. I will be sure to blog about it.

  3. How about some stuff about the harison concerto. The ISB has an interesting article about it on their site. Also, I believe that Volkan Orhan has a video recording on his site.

  4. Nice pic in the NY Times music section. James Levine, composers John Harbison, Elliott Carter, Milton Babbitt w/ Tim Cobb looming in the background.
