This pairing is really something that should happen more often. It would be great if he could become the next music director for the Chicago Symphony, but he is still, I am sure, under contract with the San Francisco Symphony for a while.

A really cool resource out there for all string educators is the String Pedagogy Notebook, put together by Michael Hopkins of the University of Vermont. A festival students may wish to check out for the summer is the American School of Double Bass, run by Mark Morton.
