Last night was the opening night for Chicago Opera Theater’s run of Nixon in China. The house was packed and the performance was great. Unfortunately, the supertitles were not working last night–even with an opera sung in English it is helpful to have the supertitles. Otherwise, the performance went quite well. [...]
My University of Wisconsin-Whitewater student Tyler Bakken is selling a fully carved bass with an extension for $5000. This bass has gamba corners and a round back. The extension has individual closers for each note. Feel free to e-mail Tyler at bakkentj@charter.net for photos and more information.
