September begins my tenth month of blogging. I was recently going over my archived posts from my first couple of months with this blog, and it is pretty painful to read these old posts. My blog (to me, at least) has gotten a lot better over the months, and I hope that people are getting some satisfaction out of reading these posts.

When started this blog, I resisted the idea of actually blogging on it. I was using it as a content management system more than anything. Blogging software is actually great for content management–much more useful than a traditional website for my purposes. This site was originally to be for the use of my students. I was trying to have it be a place to keep lesson information, sites to check out, school information, and the like. Over time, however, I got bitten by the “blogging bug”, and in the last few months I have started to use it as an actual blog. All of the original content is still here under the “FOR STUDENTS” tab, but the blog itself has become more of a traditional blog.

I plan on continuing to post daily (one or more posts per day) and hopefully do even more blogging and podcasting as time progresses. Check out my other blog Nuevobasso. It contains much of the same content as this blog, only without any personal posts. Also, check out BIG BOTTOM, the excellent bass blog to which I regularly contribute.
