The Elgin Symphony (of which I am a member) is opening their season this week at the Hemmens Theatre in downtown Elgin. This is my seventh season as a member of the Elgin Symphony, and it has really been amazing to watch this ensemble grow over the years, both in terms of quality of ensemble and length of season. We currently have eight Classic weeks and three Pops weeks throughout the year, plus several other concerts (Gala, Kids Konzert, and more).

We are playing Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition, Corigliano’s Promenade, and the Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto with our outstanding concertmaster Isabella Lippi. Concerts are this Friday (10/6) and Saturday (10/7) at 8 p.m., and Sunday (10/8) at 3:30 p.m. in downtown Elgin. Click here to order tickets and here for a map of the area. I’ll check in later in the week with more ESO news.
