Crummy experience, to be sure.

I was in that symphony. For 27 years. It was quite devastating for those of us who had been there through great (probably too great) growth and through much pain.

Are you sure it was the boiler room? I can't imagine. We usually held auditions in our absolutely abominable rehearsal hall. Noise. Horrible lighting. Miserable. Kind of a cave-like place.

Yes, you can be thankful you didn't get the job. Making it here in San Jose on the income SJS provided was near impossible.

Anyway, I am sorry to read of your awful experience.
