Gunnelpumpers this weekend in Chicago

The double bass, electric bass, electric upright, and percussion band Gunnelpumpers is playing this weekend in Chicago. I have seen this great band several times in the past. Michael Hovnanian (Chicago Symphony bassist) and Doug Johnson (whom I play a lot of gigs with) are both in this group, as are many other very talented individuals.

Here’s the info from Doug:

Saturday, November 4 – 8:00 p.m. – Athenaeum Theatre – 2936 N. Southport

Other news: A recent set performed by Matthew Golombisky and myself can be
heard at http://www.visualnoiz.com/multimedia/MP3/, although last time I
checked the link isn’t working.

Other bootleg recordings can be heard at

Finally, we are planning to record our first “official” CD in early
December, so we may have a real CD sometime after the new year.
