Here is a video of the great Jascha Heifetz playing his Hora Staccato arrangement. This was a signature piece for Heifetz. What a monster player he was (I have dozens of Heifetz recordings on my shelves):

Regarding the Simandl Positions in the comparative study – they’re the same as violin and cello positions, aren’t they?
Based on the minor scale of the string’s open pitch.
e.g.
G = open string
A = 1st pos.
Bb= 2nd pos.
C = 3rd pos. etc, etc.
