This is not a music blog, but it is a great example of the power of blogging. Boston 1775 is a blog about the American Revolutionary War in Massachusetts. Here is a little information about the author:

J. L. BELL is a Massachusetts writer who specializes in (among other things) the start of the American Revolution in and around Boston. He is particularly interested in the experiences of children in 1765-75. He has published scholarly papers and popular articles for both children and adults. He was consultant for an episode of History Detectives, and contributed to a display at Minute Man National Historic Park.

The blog is really great, with each post highlighting a letter, person, or event from this time in the Boston area. Mr. Bell uses a parchment-style template with a lot of faux handwritten text, and this adds to the character of the blog. This blog is a great example of how powerful the blogging medium is for narrowcasting. Perhaps only a small percentage of people out there are interested in the Revolutionary War in Boston, but if you are one of those people you are going to be visiting this blog every day and interacting with the author and the other readers.
