Double Bassist Brian Fountain’s Blog

I’d like to give people a link to double bassist Brian Fountain’s blog. Brian is the current Chicago Symphony Orchestra Diversity Fellow. You can read more about this fellowship program here. It is an interesting program that has been going on for the last few years at the Chicago Symphony. You can download an application here, but it is my understanding that a double bass fellowship is not in the works for next year.

The Chicago Symphony Diversity Fellow performs both with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and with the Civic Orchestra of Chicago for a one or two year period. The previous double bass fellow was Richard Edwards.

Check out Brian’s blog by clicking the photo above. A word of caution–it contains a lot of adult themes that may not be appropriate for readers under 18 years of age.

Hey Brian. Your 28th birthday is coming up on New Year’s Eve. Happy Birthday, if I don’t see you first at the health club!
