Bassist Drew Davies also runs a company called Click for Lessons. This is a service that will match up students and teachers for various instruments. The service is not just for music–I see that you can find lessons for salsa dancing, ballet, acting lessons, and the like. I was just playing around with it for my area, and it seems to work very well. You can specify student age, skill level, and how far you are willing to drive.

If you’re looking for private students, this looks like a good place to register. There is a sidebar on the right that shows featured teachers and the latest student requests below the search area. The site is using Google maps to pinpoint where potential teachers are located, and there is a tag cloud at the bottom showing which cities are using this service the most.

Cool! It looks like a very good service. I need to fill out a profile myself.
