People have been leaving some great leads on open source music notation software. Looking for an open source version of Finale or Sibelius is not as bleak as I thought. I have not had a chance to check out these leads yet, but check out the comments of my recent open source notation software post to see some alternatives.

This is exciting, Jason! I’m a long time Finale user, but am still using 2000c because I’m too freaking cheap to upgrade.
I’m also excited about Audacity since I’ve recently started editing my a cappella group’s sound files and would like to have my own copy of some editing software.
