A blog post from Somewhat Frank alerted me to this cool new service by a Chicago-based startup. Currently available only in Chicago (yay) and Philadelphia, ParkWhiz is essentially Google for parking spots in Chicago. Type where you want to look for parking and it will pull up an extensive and detailed list on what’s available around your location. I tried it a few times and was impressed by the results. You can be somewhat inexact in your search terms and still get useful results. ParkWhiz will be expanding outside of Chicago and Philly soon, but people in those cities should check it out. I’ll try it for my next unfamiliar downtown gig.
