I really enjoyed that. Gliere's tarantella was the piece that made me drop everything in high school and decide to major in music (double bass performance). I had a teacher who gave me a solid foundation, but I was never really exposed to the solo repertoire (beyond Vivaldi sonatas) until I heard Duncan McTier's recording of this on the radio one night. If I had never heard that piece, I would probably be sitting at my desk in an architecture firm somewhere drawing floor plans. Wow! I really enjoyed that.
