Edicson Ruiz - Berlin Philharmonic Bassist video
David Ballam sent me a link to a video of Edicson Ruiz of the Berlin Philharmonic performing the Concerto for Double Bass by Lars-Erik Larsson. The conductor in the video is Eduardo Marturet. What an amazing player! You will have to use (the dreaded) Real Player to view this. My apologies, but it is well worth it.

I met Edicson almost 6 years ago, whne he was still in Venezuela and was 13 or 14.. he was incredible back then and he still is…btw great blog I really enjoy your writing

i know edicson ever since he was a little boy he was a very active boy, i lived in the same building he lived with his mom Morela in caracas.
