Jason Heath’s Double Bass Blog

Matt Wengerd has been writing some really interesting posts about music and the bass over on his blog 104 Weeks. I’ve always enjoyed Matt’s writing–it is interesting to read his experiences at different jazz events (like his post about the IAJE conference in New York City this fall), and his posts are always full of great photos, videos, and information.

Matt recently wrote a post about John Goldsby’s Jazz Bass Book. I have this book on my shelf and have found it very useful, even though I don’t play jazz much myself. Matt also wrote a post about Ben Jaffe, the bassist and director for New Orleans’ Preservation Hall, and his visit to the University of South Florida. Check these posts out–they are very interesting.
