The virtuosity of Carlos Del Pino


Carlos Del Pino is an amazing jazz double bass player from Cuba. Now living in NYC, he has become the epitome of passion, power and precision when performing. This cat is awesome!

Accompanying Carlos in the background, you can hear Chiemi Nakai (piano), Emmanuel Bizeau (conga’s) and David Eure (violin).

Check out how well he gets around the Clevinger-style (is that a Clevinger?) electric upright!

    Sure, he knows his way around the bass. But, that alone doesn’t make good music to me. I find his musicality and actual sound pretty awful. Just my two cents…
