I hate the North
It is mid-April and the snow is still falling here in Chicago. It is easy to forget in the summer that we all live in a cold Arctic wasteland for half of the year. And I’m from an even colder climate than this originally–Chicago is balmy compared to my hometown.
At least we don’t have this right now–here’s a shot from a terrible Swiss ice storm (not from Wisconsin as I originally thought). We many not have seen weather quite this bad in recent years, but we have certainly gotten close.
See more icy Lake Geneva photos here.

Jason, I’ll re-acquaint you with Snopes: http://www.snopes.com/photos/natural/icestorm.asp
It’s not Wisconsin, it’s Switzerland. The other photos in the series show buildings that are definitely not the American midwest . . .

Oops! My mistake! Well, I hate the north anyway.
