Double bassist David Ballam’s upcoming recital


David Ballam is a Northwestern University double bass student studying with DaXun Zhang. He will be performing a recital in the Chicago area later this month. Here are the details:

The concert will feature works by Jean Francaix, Johann Christian Bach, Daniel van Goens, and Adolf Misek. Following the recital there will be a short reception.

I am hoping that it will be feasible to include David’s recital as a showcase on the Contrabass Conversations podcast. That way, folks outside of the Chicago area (which happen to constitute most of the blog readers) can hear this event.
