Lawrence Hurst and Michael Hovnanian on upcoming Contrabass Conversations episodes
Just a quick note to readers and listeners regarding upcoming guests for the next couple of weeks on Contrabass Conversations:
- This weekend I will be putting out the next segment of our interview with Indiana University double bass professor Lawrence Hurst. John Grillo co-hosted this episode with me, and you will get to hear us cover many interesting topics on the changing bass scene. - Next weekend we will be featuring an interview with Chicago Symphony double bassist Michael Hovnanian. In addition to being a member of the Chicago Symphony, Michael maintains a blog at CSO Bass Blog, performs with the Gunnelpumpers and the Chicago Bass Ensemble, and is the president of Discordia Music. I’m sure the bassists everywhere will be very interested in hearing this interview with Michael, and you can expect that interview to be released the second weekend in June.
