Matt Heller adds Contrabass Conversations widget to hella frisch


I’d like to thank Matt Heller (hella frisch, New World Symphony, Calgary Philharmonic) for putting up the Contrabass Conversations widget in his blog. If you haven’t checked out Matt’s writing before, I’d definitely recommend heading on over to his blog and taking a look around. Matt is an excellent writer (in addition to being a fearsomely awesome bassist), and his posts on the double bass, auditioning, life as a professional symphony musician, and thoughts on the world of music in general are always thought-provoking and satisfying.

Matt recently wrote a post reacting to the Contrabass Conversations interview with Andy Anderson. Andy was describing his practice habits in this interview, and Matt shared both some of his own practice goals and the keywords he used when preparing the audition list for the Calgary Philharmonic.
