New section on luthiers coming soon
Elgin Symphony Orchestra bassist Scott Rosenthal recently mentioned to me the value of having a tab just for double bass luthier information. I think that this is a great idea, so expect to see a section with information about luthiers throughout the United States and abroad, with information on their services, offerings, rates, policies, and contact information.
If readers have a luthier that they would like to have included in the Bass Blog Luthier List, please leave a comment or e-mail me (jsh177@yahoo.com) and I will get that set up.

In Rochester, NY
Mike Griffin. He does beautiful work.
Also in Rochester, though I’m not sure if this would go here, Don Reinfeld does wonderful rehairs/bow repair/etc.

In Singapore, there is a luthier. He does repair violins and violas etc as well. So far, he would be the ones that my double bass tutors would recommend if help is needed to repair double basses. I have a post here.
