Audition - El Paso Symphony Assistant Principal Bass and Section Bass
El Paso Symphony bassist Jesus Apodaca alerted me to an upcoming audition for both assistant principal bass and section bass for the El Paso Symphony. Per service pay is approximately $70 per service (section) for the upcoming season. Visit the El Paso Symphony website at www.epso.org to learn more about these positions.
The El Paso Symphony’s Music Director is Sarah Ioannides, and she is an excellent young conductor, having served as assistant conductor of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, Tan Dun’s assistant conductor, as well as conducting performances with the BBC and London Symphony. Auditions will be held at the University of Texas at El Paso, Fox Fine Arts Recital Hall on Saturday, August 25, 2007 through Tuesday, August 28, 2007.
