Bass Blog luthier directory project

I’ve gotten some great submissions from readers for the upcoming bass blog luthier directory, so thanks a bunch to those who sent in their recommendations. If you’ve got some luthier/repair person/bass retailer recommendations for me, please e-mail me (jsh177@yahoo.com) your thoughts.

I’ve been giving this project some thought, trying to imagine the most useful way for this information to be presented to readers. What I will do is create an alphabetical list under a special tab with the ability to comment on any one of the individual luthiers. This should provide maximum flexibility. Allowing reader input on various luthiers is extremely important to me, thus differentiating this resource from other directories. When possible, I will also include directions to the shop and photos of representative work.

Let me know your thoughts and ideas on this project!

  1. Alphabetical list by name or location or both?

  2. I’ll do it in state order, then alphabetical within that state. I can also probably parse it a few ways to make different sorts of lists if that is helpful.
