This video was taken in Athens, Georgia, and features an mini-orchestra of basses (always an impressive sight and sound) playing a rendition of Eleanor Rigby by The Beatles. I especially like the guy in the blue shirt who doesn’t play for half the video but just stands there ‘rocking out’ to the music.

Hi, my name is Bennett. I’ve been playing bass for 4 years and was wondering if you could please email the music sheet to me.
bennettrox@gmail.com
sounds… intresting. as a bass player for 10 years and going to a perforfing arts school and plian, this high on the fret board seemed a little advanced for theese kids. The chords, in my oppinion, should be sffz its kind of this mushy sounding. but over all sounding well watch bowing and articulation let alone pitch(whitch wasn’t all that bad)
I agree with the poster above about the bowing ( I also attend a performing arts school). some of them are fairly good however they should explore bow pressure and contact point, especially while they move up the fingerboard. There tone at the top of there range is very weak where it should be at its brightest point
I would also like the sheet music for this, where can I get it? thanks, Jon
This is actually my video, I’m the woman in the middle of the shot with the bright bass. For those who want the sheet music, I will look through my library and see if I can find copies.
For those commenting on the quality: this was at one of the symposiums in which we had 2 hours total to put together a program for the first time. The director decided on the music at the last possible second, so the fact we were able to play together is amazing, I think.
