I just wrote a post on Automated Musical Instruments for Dark Roasted Blend, one of my favorite blogs. I’ve blogged frequently about this great photo blog in the past, and it is a real honor to get a chance to put something together for them! I’d encourage readers to check out this post and let me know what you think.
I have written about many previous Dark Roasted Blend posts in the past, including Driving in Yakutsk, Cats in Action, Extreme Off-Roading, The World’s Most Dangerous Roads, Funny Signs, Winter Driving Nightmares, and Bizarre Musical Scores. With nearly 50,000 page views a day, Dark Roasted Blend is one of the most popular blogs (across all genres) on the Internet.
I’d like to thank Bass Blog reader Trevor Bortins for suggesting the Godfreid-Willem Raes collection and Michael Colwill for suggesting the House on the Rock collection for this post.

Thanks for the credit for the House on the Rock. The post was great. You did an excellent job of including such a wide variety of different automated musical instruments, and of including a large enough volume of pictures so as to appeal to so many different readers.
I tried to comment on your post directly to the Dark Roasted Blend blog, but have been having trouble getting it to stick. Of course, I’m using a hospital wireless service right now, and some functions have been a little unreliable.
At any rate, well done.
