I really must be a geek if I get this excited about a new search function on the blog, but it’s cool–really! Type a search term into the new box at the top of the blog, and see what happens. Cool, right? The results load up without the page having to reload, dropping down in a nice little menu complete with the context in which the term was mentioned. Very cool.

But that’s not all. In addition to searching on my blog, I have it set up so that you can click a tab after you’ve typed a term and search on any of the sites that I link to in my blogrolls. You can search other music blogs, bass blogs, or even non-blog bass sites like TalkBass.com through this function.

Cool, huh? One of the many benefits of having Google as your blog master.

Actually, there are a bunch of slick new features like this that I have been playing with on the blog. If you happen to ever be on around 1 a.m. you’ll probably see things appearing and disappearing as you click around. I really have to resist the urge to add all of the features that I want to add, because the result would be an unnavigable nightmare.

If I haven’t added you to my blog roll, it’s probably not because I don’t like your site but simply because I am unaware of it. I am generous with the linkage and will gladly add your blog/site (if it’s topical) to my blogroll. People will then be able to search your site through this feature on this blog.
