The Good Musician

The Collaborative Piano Blog just informed me that a new blog just launched from b5 media called The Good Musician. Even though it is a very new blog, it looks like it really holds a lot of promise to become a very interesting read. Some of their posts include:

I actually applied for a position with this company over a year ago, thinking that this sort of thing might be something that I would like to do. I was on the ‘shortlist’ but didn’t get selected, which was probably a good thing in the long run. I took those ambitions and focused them on this blog and Contrabass Conversations, which has probably been a better expenditure of my time.

Anyway, I ended up publishing my answers to the interview questions as a blog post about six months ago, and it provides a good example of some ideas that I was tossing around about developing and promoting a blog. Although many of those ideas have changed in the past year, looking back on this list makes me realize that I did end up following through on many of these items for the blog and the podcast.
