Titanium Jr. by Donovan Stokes

Donovan Stokes, one of our guests back on Contrabass Conversations #13, wrote Titanium Jr. for double bassist Ken Fuller (seen playing in this video). The piece was premiered with orchestra earlier this year. Donovan is a great composer and bassist, and I think that this piece must be a lot of fun to play. I really enjoy listening to it, as I do with Donovan’s other compositions.

If you’d like to check out more of Donovan’s playing, you can visit him online at www.donovanstokes.com, where you can order his recordings and sheet music. You can also pick up a copy of the sheet music here.

Donovan and I are planning on doing a podcast interview in the future, so stay tuned for that–I think that bassist will really enjoy it. You can also check out Donovan’s playing on CBC #13.
