Bass Musician Magazine, the new bi-monthly publication from Jake Kot and company, is now live! This publication is free to view online, and filling out a simple form allows for free e-mail delivery of the publication as well.

I am a staff writer for this publication, and you can find my first contribution here. Podcast listeners will have heard this before–it is the first part of our interview with Ranaan Meyer (which you can check out on episode 28 of the podcast. It’s great to see Contrabass Conversations tied into this publication, and I look forward to seeing it develop over the coming months.

The majority of the content in this first issue is geared toward electric bassists, so it is a thrill to be one of the few double bass contributors. I am going to try to feature jazz or crossover players, although I wouldn’t rule out featuring classical players at some point in the future as well.
