Four guys play one cello


Milwaukee Symphony and Grant Park Symphony cellist Peter Szczepanek sent me a link to this video featuring Stringfever playing Bolero. The thing is…they’re all playing it on one cello! Amazing. Now let’s see a bass quartet do the same thing. That gives me an idea…..

    Interesting. I wonder what composition for the double bass quartet would be feasible for four person to play on one double bass. If you know, please give me some guidance. Thanks.

    hi jason! cool video. and you might me happy to find out that this idea has already been done in doublebass!! by none other than Michael Wolf, the current teacher at the Universität der Kunste in Berlin (the Berlin Arts University). here’s the links to a couple of pictures:
