Drew McManus (Adaptistration blog author) wrote a post estimating the worth of blogs that he reads. The tool he used to make these calculations comes from Dane Carlson’s Business Opportunities Weblog. While the results are of little real-world benefit (I haven’t gotten a lot of purchase offers recently, that’s for sure!), it is always fun to see how your blogging efforts are paying off, at least in terms of site prominence.

Check out Drew’s post
for some statistics on many prominent arts blogs. I wrote a post about this service late in 2006, and it is good to see that my blog’s estimated worth has risen. Changing URLs from jasonheath.blogspot.com means that the numbers have gotten garbled, and my old URL currently has much more estimated worth than doublebassblog.org does. Here’s how it breaks down:

http://www.jasonheath.blogspot.com = $37,259.64
http://www.doublebassblog.org = $10,726.26
