Alex Ross linked to the bass blog (along with the fabulous oboeinsight and several other classical music blogs) in his recent New Yorker column titled The Well-Tempered Web.  Check out this piece by Alex–it is a very interesting look at his own experiences blogging (he started The Rest is Noise in 2004)  and how, while the Internet may be killing the profits of mainstream pop artists, classical music is thriving as a result of it.  Thanks for the mention, Alex!  It’s humbling to think of this blog as a piece of the thriving Internet classical music community.
