Yesterday we released the first part of our video about the Rabbath left hand position system, and we’ve gotten a lot of positive feedback already.  We’ve got a couple more parts to this video coming out later on this this week, so stay tuned for more about the Rabbath technique.

I neglected to mention in the post (although it is mentioned in the video) that Hans is working on the sequel to last year’s extremely successful Art of the Bow project.  Titled Art of the Left Hand, it features motion capture technology to provide a highly detailed window into Rabbath’s left hand technique.

Intrigued?  Just click the computer animation Rabbath avatar in the picture.  You can also learn more about Hans Sturm by visiting www.hanssturm.com or www.bsu.edu/music.

One humorous aside–when you watch the video again (or any of the other parts), you may notice that we have two little fuzzy feline movie stars showing off in the background.  Dan the cat is perched right between us for most of the clip on top of his cat stroller, and Angel is moving around as well.  She really starts strutting her stuff in the other parts of the video, stretching out on a shelf by my head and begging for some attention.
