Brad Opland on Contrabass Conversations this weekend

We will be wrapping up our interview with Brad Opland this weekend on the Contrabass Conversations show. Brad is a member of the Chicago Symphony and the bassist for the Chicago Chamber Musicians, and we had an excellent interview over the summer this year!

We will also be starting to feature chamber music that includes double bass from the Chicago Chamber Musicians on the podcast, beginning with a complete arrangement of Ibert’s ‘Quatre Chansons de Don Quichotte’ for bassoon and bass, arranged by Brad and performed live in Evanston, Illinois.

This will prove to be a really exciting new feature of the podcast–the Chicago Chamber Musicians are a fantastic chamber ensemble, and Brad has performed virtually every piece of chamber music that includes bass during his long tenure with this organization. Stay tuned for the conclusion of our interview with Brad this weekend plus music from the Chicago Chamber Musicians!
