Torrent of new double bass interviews for CBC podcast

The floodgates have opened this week for new double bass interviews, and I’ve had a chance to sit down and chat with several prominent figures in the contrabass community.  I’ll expand on my experiences with these interviews later (I’m in the middle of editing at the moment), but my brain is spinning from all that ideas I’ve been pondering after my talks with PROJECT bassist Peter Seymour, the humorous and incomparable Justin Locke, and the insightful bass luthier Steve Reinfranck.  I’ll be chatting with Suzuki bass pedagogue Virginia Dixon after the weekend, and I’ve got several more new and interesting interviews lined up in the coming weeks.

What does this mean?  Well, it mean that interest in Contrabass Conversations continues to mushroom, and I’d like to thank you all for making this possible!  In addition to these new interviews, we’ve got several new musical guests, a slew of excellent new videos, and the start of our chamber music series featuring Brad Opland and the Chicago Chamber Musicians.  Stay tuned–you should be in for a real treat in the coming weeks!
