There are enormous correlations between the study and practice of music and one's ability to do well in the subjects of mathematics, science, and technology. People that study music tend to excel in these subjects. It is my theory that the practice of music stimulates and exercises the same parts of the brain that process scientific thought, and that kids that study music actively throughout their childhood tend to be more adept at technical thinking later on in life.
