06 December 2007, 2:14 pm
Great playing !!!
BRAVO !!
Thank you Jason
06 December 2007, 2:31 pm
Amazing.. what a team…
the first viola player, plays in the Berlin Philharmonic, the cello player is the principal of the SWR
and last but not least; GUY TUNEH
who shows again that bass playing has no limit!!!
What an Amazing bass playing.
if we all play bass like this, the bass will only gain
more respect !!
06 December 2007, 2:48 pm
Well, for me its clear;
that the bass souldn’t be played only in an orchestra (as i believed untill today)
An amazing way to show the bass, and he can do.
Thank you Mr. Tuneh.
you changed my mind about the theme
Bass as a front stage instrument.
Gret Job!!
(by the way,we need more from his kind)
06 December 2007, 2:52 pm
Jason as you said, wonderful bassist !
06 December 2007, 3:05 pm
Wow what smoth pizz he has…
what a warm sound…
great team work, the bass mixed perfect with the others and still comes out.. very good.
What about the rest?
please Jason i would like to hear the solo bass
that comes later.
06 December 2007, 3:46 pm
THEY SAY that bass players are not the most intresting players that you can find on stage or that they are to slow or having a bad technic or to big or that the dont have great music to play..
Well,
Mr. Tuneh teach me only one thing;
Dont hear that
THEY SAY !
NOT IN THAT CASE
Very good playing with alot to say, with amazing
technic (better then the tech of some violin or cello players that i know – the pizz is nobel
and his bow tech is just one of a kind, )
and a great music to play!
Its amazing me how he put music with technic
together in that way.
show me that i still have so much to do untill
i would be able to play like this…
06 December 2007, 3:57 pm
What about the calm type of a bass player?
the one who just give the bass?
06 December 2007, 4:21 pm
Who cares, this type can stay at home!!
Mr. Tuneh is doing great job.
its cool what this guy is doing.
07 December 2007, 5:19 am
Nice to see how the bassist is leading the Ensemble.
07 December 2007, 5:58 am

07 December 2007, 12:53 pm

08 December 2007, 3:39 am
Jason thanks alot for posting this Wonderful
video, its great to see them.
I think that Mr. Tuneh is a great bassist and its
would be clever to ask him for more videos about his way of playing.
ones again thanks Jason, i can learn alot from
Guy’s playing.
08 December 2007, 4:30 am
Its doing so good to know that a Double-bass
can, and is taking dynamic part in making music
and in the same level as the violins, violas, cellos and even the piano!
its the first time that i hear the name Guy Tuneh
and his way of playing bass. (who is this Guy??)
wowww , what a great artistic level.
(N.B. – so not all the bass players are theme of funny jokes!)
Jason, its great that you give this kind of artistic videos stage, its bring the bass a step ahead
and give us the chance to see and learn new ways of playing the bass!!
08 December 2007, 5:10 am
i am from Germany,
to the subject if bass should take part of making
chamber music or playing Solo or playing orchestra music,
this bassist put our world on his head!!
(he is from other kind – no one that i know play like this)
most of the people who are like him are not being so loved by other people… and we think about them as “hard to go on with” outsiders.
god , bass as a dynamic partner in making music same as violin & co, the bass sould just stay “low” and just give the bass!
the bass have to be as good as the violin to do this.
Even if i realy try, there is nothing bad to say about this bassist (Tuneh) but …
i dont realy think that we are ready for this kind of bass playing, yet.
08 December 2007, 5:48 am
Dear “Rudolf”
let’s see,
why do you have a problem with the way how Mr. Tuneh is playing the bass?
and why the people in europe/germany are posting this kinds of comments?
i can remember that when jason was posting
the video with Mr. Shehata, all kind of comments were caming from that side of the globe,
do you have a problem there in germany??
well,
Both, Mr. Shehata and Mr. Tuneh are Bass players from the first Class!!
each one of them in his own way!
they both were leading the bass grupe of
Barenboim’s west-eastern divan orchestra
just great in the last sommer!
each one in his own way. (both were playing the hard Solo in the Schönberg variations – and both were Amazing!!! and no one is even thinking about to say who is better , every one of them is just one of his kind! & both are just amazing!)
NO bad things to say … !!
but you, you have a problem…
its time that people there in europe will start to take care, ’cause you have a problem,
why?
be happy that you have this kind of players
on your side!!
08 December 2007, 9:35 am
Hi “Rudolf”
first you cry ’cause the bass is not part of the
instrunents witch enjoing a status of a chamber or Solo insteunents,
then come some one (as Mr. Tuneh – witch is by the way an amazing bassist and an artist)
like this, who show,
that the bass can be/is one of those instruments,
and then you cry that you dont like him ???
for me he is an amazing bassit, musicion & person!
just try to learn from this kind of people and not to hate them!
but
if you thinks that you can do better, i
would like to see and to hear you, & please
dont let me wait so long.
08 December 2007, 12:34 pm
few points:
a) Guy Tuneh is Genius! (very few can do what
he does and in that way)
b) each motion that he does is gold! (come great
in the music, love his pizz & his spirit)
c) if there is a chance to hear his Solo in the
Allegro vivace right after the 2nd time?
d) the rest of the ensemble, they are doing
just great, because with this kind of a bass- player its not easy to keep with!
e) Please post more videos/music from him
f) Jason keep on walking that way
that all i’m out!
08 December 2007, 2:13 pm
Great playing!
08 December 2007, 2:31 pm
where can i get a leason from him?
09 December 2007, 4:21 am
Can he fit in an orchestra?
09 December 2007, 11:47 am
In this case the right thing to ask is
if an orchestra will fit to him?
10 December 2007, 10:30 am
Its the first bassist with german bow that i can say that i like his sound as if it would be french bow, he is very elegant, and very smoth!
wow ,i was allways thinking the german bowers play
hard and very loud.
cool..
12 December 2007, 5:32 am
This Guy is not just playing the music,
This guy is doing art with his bass.

16 December 2007, 1:37 pm
