It finally happened.  I had just wrapped up a great interview with Justin Locke a couple of weeks ago, and I went to click the ‘save’ button on HotRecorder, the program I use to record podcast interviews.  Well, HotRecorder wasn’t so hot that day.

Click.

Nothing.

Click.

Nothing.

No!  I had lost the recording (miraculously, I managed to save the first 20 minutes, but that’s it).  Of all the irritating things….my heart sank as I thought of all the great content that my compute had just arbitrarily eaten.  Although I had heard of this happening to other podcasters, I’d never had it happen to me, and it really is a terrible feeling.  I had to get in contact with Justin and sheepishly tell him,

"Uuuh…I kind of…lost….the interview…."

Luckily, he was absolutely gracious and accommodating, and we just recorded another hour of great gig stories, details about constructing family concerts, and laments about how both individual musicians and artistic organizations fail to market themselves effectively.  We’ll be releasing this new interview segment in the near future.
