Maestro Tuneh play this Rococo with much more
love then most of the Cello players that i have

  5. Dan on January 1st, 2008 8:50 am

    OMG…
    This is Crazy!
who said that we bass players are stupid, or cann’t play solo?
This one can give some great tipps to cello players, how to play it so great.
    Crazy….

  6. HARALD on January 1st, 2008 9:04 am

I’m an Orchestra musion, a Cello player.
if you look realy good at this video, you cann’t realy see the fingers of this person, the camera is far away from him, so i think that he is not realy playing this.
good work at the AUDIO/VIDEO STUDIO!!
    not more and not less!
nice try but i dont buy it!

  7. Aharon on January 1st, 2008 9:51 am

    Owhhh…….. ,
    Now this is intresting:
“HARALD”, our Cello player, thinks that Mr. Tuneh is not playing on this video…. (other way to say that we are stupid ’cause we believe its him,or ’cause we think its great and we know that it is impposible/very hard to play).

    Great HARALD!,

    But,
still some one had to play this pease on bass,
but then why he should give the soundtrack to Mr. Tuneh?, or why not to perform this by him self, and to get all the Glory???!
    Dear HARALD,
I saw Mr. Tuneh’s videos, i learned all of them,
i heard the Great interview to Jason’s Amazing
    Podcast,
The only think i can say,
Maestro Tuneh is an Amazing Artist!!

    did you get it?

    An Amazing Artist!!!

And now sorry to make you sad,
but he is playing this!! sorry for you that you dont wont to believe in that.
yes, i know, for cello this variations are not easy and more then that, it is part of the great tchaikovsky competition, now, the fact that a bass player can play it, and so good that you think it could have been writen for bass
can make some people sad. (or very happy.!)
specialy if they are cello players who could never got the chance to play it or something like this.
    Back to our issue,

for me Mr. Tuneh is a MAESTRO.
    one of a kind!

finaly, the day that shows that some bass players can play better then the other instruments.!!!

    BRAVO MAESTRO TUNEH!!

  8. Jack on January 1st, 2008 10:13 am

    Oh.. ya baby !

    this is just great!

for all the people who cann’t believe in it, eat your heart!

This is just great , i love it.

    BRAVO TUNEH.

  9. Liha on January 1st, 2008 10:34 am

The Phenomenen begines where the Outstanding stops.

    BRAVO FOR THIS OUTSTANDING PLAYING!!!

  10. Migel on January 1st, 2008 11:39 am

    Why the Video is short?
    I’d like to see more.
there are so many hard places in that pease.
i’m intresting how it looks on bass.

  11. John on January 1st, 2008 2:54 pm

    What a Happy New Year!!

    BRAVISIMO!!!!!!!

  12. Richard on January 1st, 2008 3:15 pm

Great to see that there are still some musions who like to take it to the limit!
to give every thing on stage.
its amazing how Mr. Tuneh does it.
for me its clear, he give his life for what be
    believe. no compromis!!
to go on stage with this kind of pease, god
    he is Amazing.

    Well done Mr. Tuneh

    you won a new fan!

  13. Richard on January 1st, 2008 3:18 pm

and i’d like to wish you the same.

  14. AMOS on January 1st, 2008 3:48 pm

I got to see the video in youtube, its Realy fresh, first time that i hear it like this,
and i gote say its intresting!
its realy not bad, i play cello and the idea in the 3rd
variation at the end: to take it slow as a Cadenz,
to break it to a Dramatic end, its just wonderfull give it personality. like an opera.
no Cellist is doing this, most of us are just playing it as we play.(maisky has his own way)
Gosh, Mr. Tuneh put on it a new fresh light,
some nice ideas, he was thinking about every note that he playes in that pease.
    Great.
the first Var. is very fast, he playes it in Cello Tempo! but still with musical line!!
it looks so easy for Contrabass, but for Cello
    not at all…..
    still dont understand it.but one is clear;
i dont know how is he doing this… .
Tuneh is Amazing on away that can awake fear!!
(its not normal to play like this)
i would be more then happy to see all that concert video, to get some more ideas.

  15. Cellist on January 1st, 2008 4:05 pm

    Congratulations !!
    Very Original, sounds good.
    its f++king hard for Cello,
now, on bass, i dont know how he got it.
I’m intresting at the end, the CODA, how this
sounds on bass at the final Tempo?
He is realy more then one f++king
    step a head!
(one more to give his soul the the devil)

  16. Dorian on January 1st, 2008 4:43 pm

    Woww..
    Just Great!

if the year begin like this, i have no idea where its going to end.
i have so much to do if i wont to wish the same to Mr. Tuneh!
No wordes… in my dreams i would never play this pease and if i would do so, then not like this

  19. Franz on January 2nd, 2008 1:56 am

    Rococo on bass!
    why?
Is it a new mode, what about the music for bass?
its sounds o.k but bass is bass!!
what about the good old Orchestra Excerpts?

  20. Pavel on January 2nd, 2008 2:20 am

Please Jason, i wrote you more then once about a Podcast contain Guy Tuneh showing his tech.
I dont feel free to connect the Maestro by my own. after i heard the interview with him it looks to me that you are more then close to him.
    please think about.
Thanks for a great Job & Happy New Year to you to.
    (& sorry for my English)

  21. Norman on January 2nd, 2008 3:21 am

    Its avery good idea!
A leason with Mr. Tuneh on a podcast.
I have some things to ask Guy Tuneh.

  22. Joachim on January 2nd, 2008 5:48 am

With Tuneh it looks so easy.
I wonted to play it on bass for my final test but
it was unplayable, you need to learn a special
    technick to play the notes.
    woww…
    its realy very impresive.

  23. Joela on January 2nd, 2008 7:04 am

Is it solo strings or normal?
The Maestro begins with the note E,so its the original scale, like the cello part,
did he write this for bass or its 1 to 1 (from the cello score)??
for normal strings it sounds very solistic.
    Realy great job.

  24. XXX on January 2nd, 2008 8:28 am

He playes it like a f++king Cellist!!

  25. Ulrich on January 2nd, 2008 11:36 am

  28. Taufik on January 2nd, 2008 1:51 pm

After i got to see the original score for Cello
(i got realy high pulse – Because some of it looks just crazy hard to play, even dont know where to begin!!!)
I’d be happy to get the chance to ask Mr. Tuneh
    some questions;
the score that he used to play this pease form?
    Some fingering ideas?
& last but not least Technical tipps for this
    Amazing hard work.
I mean my friend is playing the Cello, and he said no way, that bass player would play this on bass.

  29. ZXZ on January 2nd, 2008 1:59 pm

    What next??!
