Hawaii Contrabass Festival

Now here’s an event that I would love to attend!  The Hawaii Contrabass Festival is an event sponsored by the Hawaii American String Teachers Association (HASTA with NSOA), and it will run from March 24-30, 2008 in Honolulu, Hawaii.

New Bass Gang DVD available

Vito Liuzzi, the Italian bassist who runs xbass.org, recently wrote in to let me know about a new DVD from the fabulous ensemble The Bass Gang.  We’ve blogged about this group in the past here, and I’m looking forward to checking out this DVD in the near future.  Check out a preview of it here.

Newly revamped Inside The Arts site
