Dear Jason.
I'm really happy for your posting the NEW WEB SITE by XBASS.org. In quality of journalist I must tell you that now, with English translation, this Magazine on line naturally has become international, but it helps every doublebass players in its profession (or passion). In this magazine you can find (expecially in back numbers but I don't know if they have been translated in English because of enormous work to do) Musicology (not the usual things that we find on the web) but new studies under different points of historical music, referring to our instrument. Then, VIDEOS and INTERVIEWS. Videos of great performers and interwies sometimes with tha same or other people (I remember Rabbath, Petracchi, Stoll, Pino Ettorre's Videos and so on). Then an equal visit in the world of Jazz Doublebass and Contemporary Doublebass. Great and important names also in this sections (with video interviews). Let's go on, remember that I speak like a Journalist, so like a neutral observer.
Let's go on. The chance to observe and analize old italian doublebass, made by important liuthers. And you know that Italy, probably, in the history of the construction of a doublebass, has always been at the most higher levels. By the way, non the images but also an historical review about that liuther and technical aspects. Orchestral repertory, also with very good fingerings and audio referement. Then, the suggestments of an important italian liuther taken under different thematics point of views. And much more. I stop here because my no correct English does no give me great satisfactions. Big limit, Jason. Last but not least, the Didattic. I really suggest to give a look. Everyone can find something interesting for himself.
Naturally a great work for all the Staff.

My best regards.
