Jazz highlights from Contrabass Conversations

PharoahSandersThough we’ve tended toward the classical side of things thus far on the Contrabass Conversations show, we’ve certainly had a fair share of jazz features over the past year-and-a-half.  Since many bassists play both jazz and classical, several of the guests mentioned below maintain active performing careers in both genres.

Here’s a list highlighting some of our jazz guests and musical performances.  For a list of blog-related jazz resources, you can always click on our jazz link in the menubar.

We’ve also featured musical performances from jazz artists such as Brian Bromberg, Terry Plumeri, and many others, so feel free to browse the archives and immerse yourself in bass tracks, and stay tuned this week for new jazz performances from our series Eclectic Bass.
