Ha Ha Ha... "tabea"
Let us hear your playing...

by the way:
Tuneh did play Solo under Barenboim; he was his principl bassplayer together with shehata. (and more than one time - 2007 West-eastern divan orchestra, Schoenberg Orchestra variations Var. 4, it was also in T.V., and Mr. Barenboim was very happy with Tuneh's way of playing!!)
Tuneh also played chamber music with Barenboim.(this was also in T.V.) but this didnt see... clear..!

So, if Tunehs playing is so "horrible" as you wrote, and you know how Barenboim pick his players, how can it be that Tuneh was his Principal bassist along N. Shehata?

and you also know that Tuneh had a hard time to bring the bass
grup of that orchestra to the right level....
they are good but as you know Tuneh (everyone who have been there
was very imprest from Tuneh's playing!! even the "Shehata fans" have been alert, Barenboim himself who orderd Tuneh to lead the bass players in the Camberconcert in Mozarteum and more than this!!) is more than one step above tham, as Tuneh came he pushed all of tham to be/do better.(for them and for Tuneh and for M. Pernuz-principle of berlin staatsoper, it was not easy but Tuneh did his Job!!!!!!, even when thay all try to do stupid kindergarden games.. )
one concert he even played with fever! and still played the Solo
AMAZING: Barenboim orderd him only to play in the Schonberg, Barenboim was shoked that Tuneh played all the concert - Mozart, Schonberg, Tchaikowsky with Fever and crazy virus.
he did a Great job.
i know because i was at that time also in Salzburg in Puch Urstein (2007 the orchestra worked in Austria in salzburg)
the orchestra was very imprest from Tuneh's leading talent and playing.

I "like" this kind of people who just speak shit about the others, and also try to "show" that they know the facts.
people like you "tabea", i'm sure that we all goin to be happy if you show us how to do it better! tell Tuneh what and how he can do better.... i remmember him as a nice, very very intiligent, great bassist and outstanding musicion who try every day to be better than day before...!!!
give a smart idea, show your talent and how you would do it.
but you know its the same like this players who couldnt understand how Tuneh is doin his thing, they acted like you!!
after the old way- speaking is the most easy thing to do!!!
dont take him so personaly...
it would not change the fact that he is a Outstanding person
and more than that: very very Special Bassist.

Good day Jason
Doublebass Virtuoso Guy Tuneh perform a
Fantastic video of him playing the ELGAR CELLO CONCERT on bass - what a thing!!
The video is short, is it possible (as a former CBC producer… that interview with Tuneh is by the way 1st class) that you will post more about this GREAT and very importent achievement of Mr. Tuneh?

AMAZING how this work is looking so easy and sounds so much deep on Bass!

Thank you.
