From Arizona State University bass professor Patrick Neher:
The Arizona Bass Players Festival and Workshop and competition will occur March 5-8, 2009 at Arizona State University. The competition is open, in two categories, to double bass and electric bass(es) now, for players 15-22 years. The Festival will feature John Clayton Thierry Barbé, Catalin Rotaru, Joel DiBartolo (who recently had a heart attack so we are praying he’ll be okay by March), myself, and a yet-to-be-announced electric player. There will be master classes, performances, workshops, a teacher session, and a jam.
