We’ll be having a mellow pace of blogging for the remainder of the year–some cat posts, silly pictures, and perhaps the occasional bass nugget or two thrown in as well. My schedule is thankfully returning to a more normal pace after 16 weeks of student teaching followed by the holiday season, and I’ll be getting a chance to do some more original writing and more vigorous blogging than I’ve been able to muster this fall. I miss i, and I’m glad to be getting back into it.

I’ll also be doing quite a few interesting activities that will find their way onto the blog over the next few months. I’m doing a presentation on blogging at the Chicago chapter of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), attending the next International Society of Bassists board meeting (I’m on the ISB board), and doing a two-hour presentation on low strings for school teachers.

I’ve also got some multimedia presentations that I’ve been itching to make a video out of and put out on the blog, including my chat on realities of a music career (based on my book Road Warrior Without an Expense Account). Should be good stuff…I hope!
