This truly is awesome news! I think that adding Hal to an already excellent teaching studio makes Peabody one of the top two or three choices for a bass education in the country. It was great before, but it's even better now. Kudos to Jeff and Paul for making this happen, and I know that I'll be recommending that all my serious students apply to Peabody (this school is already one of the best places for a double bass education, and it's even ore of an attractive option with the addition of Hal).

This is HUGE, HUGE for Peabody's Double Bass program. Peabody's double bass program was an audition winner juggernaut during Robinson's Peabody tenure from the mid-80s to the mid-90s. Hopefully, his residency will bring back some of that magic. Those Peabody kids better get ready to get "serious!"
