I’m not in favor of playing open G at the end of that lick, sounds too out of place to me
Try to make eighths a bit off the string rather than sticky on. Also, don’t get into echos or playing some sequences louder than others. There’s a dialogue going on between sections of the orchestra. Why confuse it?
I agree with Rob’s comments above. The eighth-quarter at the end of the motif is too connected to the sixteenths-eighth before it. Listen to the dialogue between the violins and winds earlier in the movement. Mozart goes so far as to put the eighth-quarter idea in another instrument. It should feel much bouncier (possibly literally with the bow, but mostly just bouncy as in the feel) than the sixteenth passage preceding it. Also, during the sequence, in addition to not playing the echo effect, aim more for the slur. You do this some of the time but not consistently. The slur is the peak of the run and our “solo” before the upper strings come in and take over each time. It’s difficult to judge since we can’t see you, but it sounds like your articulation is a bit slow and can be easily remedied by moving your bow closer to the bridge. Overall, very nice and controlled playing though. The main thing would be to find the bouncy nature of the eighths that land on the quarter.
